Background:
The biological testing laboratory of the Pushchino branch of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IBH) is now the most titled in Russia in the field of non-clinical research. Since 2005, it has been accredited by the International Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Work with Laboratory Animals (AAALAC International). In 2013, the laboratory received official recognition of compliance with the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) by the Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS). The laboratory was the first laboratory to receive recognition of compliance with GLP principles by the Russian monitoring body, the Federal Accreditation Service, and thanks to this the work on the National GLP System was completed in the Russian Federation.
